BMS Boys Basketball Tryouts - 8th Grade

Grade Levels:
Students at all grade levels (6th, 7th and 8th) are eligible to participate. There is a boys' team and a girls' team at each level. There is a 6th grade level, junior varsity level and varsity level.

Expectations:
All athletes are evaluated based on their ball handling, shooting, defensive skills and basic fundamentals. Coaches look for players who have a grasp of the team concept, have good standing in grades and behavior, and have a good work ethic and positive attitude.

Tryouts:
Tryouts are typically early in the fall. Everyone will have the ability to try out for two days before cuts are made. Those chosen will be asked back for a third day of tryouts. The final team will be selected from this group.
